Nominee for Structure and Operations; Special Projects

What is your company and title?

Managing Partner, TK FUND

Tell us why you’re best for the Structure and Operations committee!

I’m a self taught techie. I have a degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering. I have 2 Amazon Web Service Certifications.

Tell us why you’re best for the Special Projects committee!

I’ve founded 4 multimillion dollar businesses in Detroit and I know how to take projects from start to finish without needing direction or handholding.

Why are you interested in serving on a Connect 313 Committee? What do you hope to gain from the experience?

I want to continue to make a difference in the city. Detroit can be a leader in technology if we get the right people behind this.

What is your vision for bridging the digital divide in Detroit?

Honestly, this is such a large project that I can see this going in several different directions, however I personally do not have enough knowledge on the scope of the problem in the City to articulate a vision. Once I understand the problem better I’d be happy to formulate a vision and a strategy to make that vision a reality.

Please share your current community activities and/or volunteer work.

I’ve been involved in non-profits in the past. Formally, I was recently President of my Fraternity’s alumni association. Unofficially I work with new entrepreneurs to get their businesses started.

Please share any of your current committee or Board memberships.
